I had my very first belly tap to get rid of ascites. I am starting to feel better from the tap in my belly for asites; no one told me it would make my BP bottom to 90/30 or, that I would hurt for so long after.
It was supposed to take place at one and did not take place until five that he even showed up? The NP told me not to eat. The doctor said it was fine to eat, but lunch and my appt, time were the same, she kept me NPO all day and then totally lied and started to argue with my mom, saying she was following the NPO order which no one had officially ordered. Only this Nurse Practitioner, who told me to "Wait" if it were a doctor’s order, would have been in my chart & a sign on my door.
Thank god for my mom! The doctor left right after he stuck me. The nurse would not check to see that I was training according her, “That’s Not My Job!" My mom cancelled her plans after that stayed to message my belly and have me move slightly until all three ugly liters were out.
After she left and I called with the bedside button, it took six tries within an hour for someone to come. This care is for CRAP! Why is it when you get pushed out of pediatrics, you might as well go to another country for health care?
Eventually, when my life is more my own and I've graduated, I will move to a state where you can always be seen by pediatrics womb-to-tomb, cause the care I've had in the city (the adult side has been just for SHIT!) My new female doctor is much more pleasant than male adult doctor is, but when the subject came up of why I no longer see him, I explained and when I came to what he said she defended him, with, "I don't even know what that means? And he's a really good doctor." I am sure he is, but he is waaay to young to be such a pompous ass, he needs to be knocked down a few pegs.
At this rate, I could die from lousy care, because they still did not know what to do for me on that floor, even though it's cardiac, it does not mean CHD, which is what I need and where I should be!
But back to red tape!!
PLEASE KNOW HOSPITALS AND DRS. NAMES WERE LEFT OUT BECUASE I AM ETHICAL.
